Phil 102B S17: Extra Credit

Extra Credit: (Due in class Wednesday, April 5): Read the short story by Ursula Le Guin, "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas." A pdf can be found here. Then write a 2-3 page paper in which you answer the following question: Would you walk away from Omelas? Why or why not? 

Extra Credit: (Due in class Wednesday, March 1): Attend the following event and then write a 1-2 page paper summarizing your experience. The paper is due in class, and should be typed. In writing about the event you should focus on the moral and ethical issues that are discussed as well as your opinion on those ethical and moral issues. 
  • The 3rd Annual Adjunct Action Day Rally on Wednesday, February 22 from 10:00-11:00 AM in the quad area outside the LRC (Library).
