Here are some alternative activities that you can do for International Worker's Day on May 1. - Attend the MayDay Teach-In on May 1 from 9-11:00 AM outside the Mesa LRC. There will be a number of speakers discussing a wide variety of topics related to labor, education, and immigration.
- Attend the MayDay Rally at San Diego City College on May 1 at 1:00 PM. This rally will be by the B Building at City College (near Park Blvd. and A St.).
- Attend the main MayDay Rally at the Federal Building Downtown on May 1 at 3:00 PM.
- Read the linked article by me about labor issues related specifically to adjuncts.
Whichever option you select, write a 1-2 page paper that discusses the issues raised and your thoughts on them. This is due in class on May 3. |
