Your
assignment is to watch a movie of your choosing and then write a 2-4
page paper (Honors Students will write a 4-6 page paper) in which you explain the theory of human nature presented in
that film. In writing your essay you must relate the theory of human
nature presented in the film to one of the theories we have studied in
class. A successful essay will do the following:
- Clearly articulate the theory of human nature presented in your film.
- Clearly articulate one of the theories of human nature we have looked at in class.
- Explain how your film relates to that theory.
The
final draft is due on the last day of class, Thursday, December 13.
Your essay should be typed, double-spaced with 1" margins in a 10-12
point font. In addition to the final draft of the paper, on Thursday, December 6 you will bring two copies of a rough draft of your essay to class for in-class peer editing.Though this pre-writing assignments is ungraded, failure to complete it will result in an F on this assignment. |
